STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Newburgh - Master Sergeant Ron Burdewick (right) and Airman 1st Class Chris Kyle perform a push pull check of the elevator control system of a massive C-5A Galaxy. The test is part of a new inspection process known as Maintenance Steering Group 3, which is a proven commercial airline industry program that the 105th Airlift Wing's Maintenance Squadron has been able to adopt for the entire C-5 fleet of the U.S. Air Force
The 105th's Maintaince Squadron is being recognized for its accomplishment by being invited to compete for the Air Force Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award on Sept. 14 in Washington, D.C.
